This is the work of young people. I am referring to middle and high school students. Most young adults would not waste their time doing something so childest as this.

As for me, I am not gay, and I have no negative feelings to anyone who is. After all, no matter what your personal feelings are about people who do not have your beliefs, it is wrong to impose your ideas of what they should be like in your eyes.

I have treated all people of different color, sexual orientation, and sex the same. I treat them the way I would want to be treated, if I was in their shoes.

If yoou really want to learn more about people, at Mt Sac you can look at all of the clubs that are on campus. Take the time to visit as many different clubs as your time permits.

In my closing, just think, what a world we would live in if we all looked the same, acted the same, dressed the same, and had the same interests, desires, and beliefs. In my eyes it would be a boring world.

I agree with Robert. I pay to be at this school too! I have asthma and its hard enough for me to breath as it is! i don't need to be walking through hallways of smoke. And just because you choose to smoke does not give you the right to do it wherever you are. There should be specific smoking areas on campus where you can go to smoke but as for the rest of us I choose to not smoke for a reason I don't need everyone else's bad habits harming me.

we already know that this is a problem with the budget cuts...but what is the point of protesting, when there isnt a solution? i am also unhappy with these increases, but im not going to go out there screaming for attention with no positive solution and disturbing other people with what they already know,

I was at the school during the last semi-big earthquake on the summer or spring of '08. I believe my 13 years in the Emergency Medical System (EMS) qualifies me as a "person of knowledge" in this area. What i saw, was a staff member "protecting" a building vs protecting himself first, then all others. This is drilled into the search and rescue (SAR) personnel in every training scenario. So unless Mt SAC's staff is utterly proficient in emergency preparedness, they should not only accept but also embrace every valid criticism that serves them in the long run

Another point that is not in accord with Rene's statement is that multiple clubs voiced their support about making the event happen. According to him, AS is supposed to represent all students on campus, and although that statement itself is hyperbolic, the fact that different clubs wanted to see the event happen is contradictory that AS was going to use 20% of its budget on just one event for just one club.

aww come on you guys wimped out with these apologies. It is not a journalist's job to soothe the feelings of those who get hurt because of what you depict. The cartoon was not libelous, defamatory nor was it offensive in any way. Haven't these people ever heard of fair comment and criticism? Or of the Constitution for that matter???

I second the notion that achieving LEED certification is the best way to demonstrate that a building project in question is truly green. Once that's successfully achieved, all that's left is to keep the momentum going to have a beneficial Green Building Project experience with handsome ROI.
